Licensed Special Education (Pre-K through transition high school vacancies) *Multiple vacancies, we can help you get an out-of-field permission if you do not currently have the license.

Other licensed related services such as School Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist and Speech Language Practitioner

Position Requirements:

Licensed or will be licensed in the State of Minnesota

Passionate about making a difference in the lives of SPPS students

Culturally relevant, collaborator, team player, growth and coachable mindset

 

Paraprofessional Positions:

Teaching Assistant 1 (general education, typically elementary) *limited openings

Teaching Assistant 2 (special education from preK through transition high school) *multiple openings

Education Assistant 1 (bilingual or special education)

Para Position Requirements:

Passionate about making a difference in the lives of SPPS students

Culturally relevant, collaborator, team player, growth and coachable mindset

ONE (1) of the following:

An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, OR

Two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution of higher education which are applicable toward a bachelor's degree, OR

*Passing score of 460 (or higher) on the ParaPro Assessment AND either a high school diploma or a GED certificate.  (For more information on the ParaPro Assessment, contact Educational Testing Service at 1-800-772-9476 or www.ets.org/parapro)
 
(*Interested candidates are encouraged to register and attend the hiring event. If you need to pass the paraeducator, SPPS offers a free Para training at our Hubbs Center and will pay for the cost of your exam.
