Francisco Guido-Sanz, PhD, APRN, ANP-BC, '18AGACNP-BC, FAANP, Assistant Professor - University of Central Florida, College of Nursing

Dr. Guido-Sanz, Assistant Professor Francisco “Frank” Guido-Sanz has more than 20 years of clinical experience in critical care and intensive care, and has been an intensivist nurse practitioner since 2006. An active member of the Trauma and Critical Care Team of the National Disaster Medical System, he has leveraged his clinical expertise as the lead nurse practitioner on several national and international deployments to provide care to disaster victims. Guido-Sanz’s research is focused on using simulation to improve outcomes in acute and critical care, trauma, disaster health (including mass casualties), combat casualties and nursing education. He is also involved in several intra- and interprofessional research collaborations related to graduate education and training for acute care, trauma, and combat and disaster casualties. He has developed a medical handoff tool for the uniformed services currently under study and several diagnostic and intervention algorithms for training systems using voice recognition technology to aid in the care of combat casualties. He is also co-inventor of two patented wound simulation systems.

Marc Rosales, DNP, MBA/HCM, RN, CCRN, CNE, CHSE, Assistant Professor - University of South Florida, College of Nursing

Dr. Marc R. Rosales is an Assistant Professor, College of Nursing at the University of South Florida. Dr. Rosales graduated from the University of Toledo in 2005. Since then, he’s held a variety of specialty positions, including Emergency Nursing, Outcomes Research and Intensive Care Unit Nursing. After graduating with a Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2011. In 2017, he earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. The following year, Rosales started his career at USF as an instructor in the College of Nursing’s undergraduate program.

Dr. Rosales enjoys being an active member of several organizations including the Florida Nurses Association (FNA), Florida Healthcare Simulation Alliance (FHSA), and volunteering for his local community. Also, he sits on the Board of Directors as President of the Upsilon Psi Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), a national nursing honor society. His recent work with the chapter includes partnering with Delta Beta, the USF chapter in an effort to celebrate and develop nursing leaders in the community.

Dr. Rosales’ research interests include Peer Evaluation, Simulation, Technology, Informatics and QSEN. His most recent scholarly work includes a Modified Delphi Study to Determine QSEN Informatics Competencies Recommended for Associate Degree Nursing Curricula.
