Volusia County Schools is creating life-long learners for an ever-changing global society! The school district serves 63,800+ students in grades Pre-K through 12th, offering high-quality educational opportunities every day.

VCS has 44 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 10 high schools, 2 combination schools (K-8 and 6-12), 4 alternative schools, and the virtual school Volusia Online Learning. The district is the 14th largest in Florida and is the largest employer in Volusia County. The Volusia County School Board is chaired by Ms. Jamie Haynes, and the Superintendent is Dr. Carmen J. Balgobin.
