Real Talk: The First Years of Nursing

Nursing school teaches you the skills. We’re here to talk about the journey.

Are you a nurse in your first 1–2 years of practice? Still finding your footing? You’re not alone. We know nursing schools are intense, packed with clinicals, exams and endless hours of studying. But what happens after graduation? The transition from student to practicing nurse can feel overwhelming, confusing and even isolating.

That’s why we are providing this space — because supporting all nurses through this transition is important to us.

We’re creating a welcoming environment just for you to connect with nurses who’ve walked this path and want to help you navigate it. Come anytime between 9 - 11 a.m. and connect with Brandon Carwile, RN, and sit down for an honest, judgment-free conversation about what it’s really like to step into your first nursing role. This is your chance to ask the questions you’ve been holding back, share your concerns and hear firsthand what the transition to practice truly feels like.

No lectures. No pressure. Just mentorship, encouragement and real talk.

We’re not here to train—we’re here to support. Emotionally, mentally and professionally. Whether you’re feeling excited, anxious or somewhere in between, this space is for you.

Let’s build a bridge between nursing school and practice—together. Because you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
