Have you ever had the desire to work alongside the Sheriff and Fire Department as the true first, first responders? Are you a highly motivated individual who wants to provide life saving service to your community? Are you excited for a fast paced and ever changing career with multiple advancement opportunities?

Our in-person job fair will be held at the Fire Atrium, 6840 2nd Street NW, #301, Albuquerque NM 87107 on Saturday, June 29th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Interviews will be held on site so please bring your resume.

WHAT’S AN ECO?

An ECO is an emergency communications operator who is the first contact when you dial 9-1-1. This operator dispatches for law enforcement, fire, and rescue departments of Bernalillo County. They record your information on a computer aided dispatching system, talk directly with Sheriff’s Deputies, Firefighters, and Paramedics and other agencies. They give pre-arrival medical instructions for your medical emergencies. They can provide information on non-emergency situations.
